The Atelophobe, The Oracle, & The Recluse

This screen dance explores the fraudulent feelings of those that struggle with Imposter Syndrome to create movement interpretations of perfectionism, expertise, isolation, and burnout. Video editing choices provide the viewer with a glimpse into the brain’s pacing and processing while struggling with these feelings and the score used, written by Michael Wall, creates a sense of anxiety and models the stress and despair one might feel as they judge themselves.
