Max DeLeo is a Writer/Director originally from Los Angeles, CA.
Max began his career working on set in the camera department where he was able to gain an appreciation for everything happening behind the scenes. He has accrued over a decade of experience working on films like - Top Gun: Maverick, Avengers: Endgame, and The Hunger Games among others.
After years of honing his craft and learning from some of Hollywood’s most notable Directors, Max decided to take the leap himself and start making movies from the Director’s chair.
His first short film, a proof of concept titled “Pre-Game”, was released online in October of 2022. So far it has gained close to 500k views while his latest short, “The Ascension Program”, starring Bonnie Aarons (The Nun) is currently starting its festival run. He is also the co-founder of the production company BoccaLupo Pictures which is currently in development on the feature version of “Pre-Game”.
Max's hands-on experience in the camera department, coupled with his early directorial successes, highlights his technical expertise and creative vision. His journey exemplifies a seamless transition from technical roles to creative leadership in filmmaking.
