Director Biography - Lucinda Jane Ellicott

Lucinda Ellicott is qualified in HR and Law. She also has a smallholding with 75 animals. She has been coerced into directing by her son Fred who is a keen producer and cameraman. Hopefully this collaboration produces energetic and watchable films.

Director Statement

"My name is Lucinda and my son is called Fred. The film was based on a 1920's silent film with some added sound effects. Having previously done the Two Short Nights Film Festival, we decided to give the Cornwall Short Film Competition a try. As the summer holidays approached, I came up with a plan to film it with some friends from Fred's school. We did numerous film sessions and multiple different clips (some involved his friends volunteering for some frightening scenes.) At the end of all that, Fred designed the cover, made the trailer and set to work editing the film. About 3 weeks later, he finished editing the film. It is almost the end of the summer holidays and we are all looking forward to finding out if we get selected for showing at the Cornwall Film Festival."
