Laetitia is a French filmmaker living in London. Passionate about films since she was a teenager, she studied Films in Paris before packing her bags to move to England and undertaking an MA in Film Production at Salford University. Pursuing her goal to be a film director ever since, she’s written and directed several short films in France and in England while setting up her own video services business and working in front of the camera and behind as an assistant director, camera operator and editor.
She especially likes making simple stories focused on characters in the hope that it can touch people. She has now started to work on her first feature film script.
The film is about old age, loneliness and the different facets of caregiving.
Through this story, I want to show the importance of human interaction, of sharing and of enjoying the present moment whatever the future may bring. Through the all female cast, I wanted to convey the strength and emotional control women have to display to protect themselves sometimes and keep strong for other people while challenging their feminine sensitivity.
I find it important to add a bit of lightness, of laughter, of positivity in the middle of a drama. It's something very dear to me and that can be seen in all my projects.
