Samuel Hemmings is a filmmaker and content creator currently studying at De Montfort University. Samuel first showed interest in media back in 2013 at the age of 12, when he created his first YouTube channel. Since then, he has created a variety of social media accounts adding up to a total of more than a quarter of a million followers. Within this time, Samuel has studied media production at level 2 at North Warwickshire and Hinckley college through to the current level 6 course at De Montfort University, and is on track to obtaining a first class degree in his field.
ASMR: The Phenomenon That Changed The World, for me, is a short documentary aiming to show the world what ASMR is truly about and an attempt to remove any negative connotations or stigma surrounding the term. Additionally, I think that it is my best project I have created so far and acts as a demonstration of my various skills.
I created this project with no budget whatsoever and I cannot begin to imagine the level of sophistication and potential this project would have with an actual filming budget. If I were given the opportunity to remake this project into a full-length feature, I would take it in a heartbeat.
