Was born in Moscow in 1988. Graduated as an actor from Shepkin’s high theatre school. Worked in “Taganka Theater”, “Gogol-centre” and abroad more than 10 years. Acted in films at the same time. Since 2017 worked on “MTV Russia”, “360” TV channels and in commercials as a director and screenwriter. In 2020 was a co-author and actor in “Playthings” performance by “Signa” company. Since 2021 started to film short movies as a director, based on own scripts. Work and live in Georgia and Russia.
In October 2022, I participated in a cinema workshop called "72 Hours," where we were challenged to shoot a film on the topic of "Silence" within 3 days. All I had was three actors and a cinematographer. Overnight I wrote the script, and on the first day we set all the preparations. We filmed on the second day, and the third day was dedicated to post-production. The main discovery for me was that it's possible to create a film in 3 days, even without a budget. Our film made it into the top three out of 30 participants. The key to successful shooting was thorough preparation - we rehearsed with the actors, scouted locations, and storyboarded the shots. During the shoot, we spent around $60 on tickets for a Ferris wheel ride. The cabin could accommodate four people, but we squeezed in five - three actors, the cinematographer, and myself. The sound engineer had to stay down below. In ten full rotations, we captured everything we had planned.
"Silence" seems to be a very interesting and important topic to me. We are currently overloaded with information, news, and content. I became curious about observing close people who find themselves together in unusual and challenging circumstances. Under the looming darkness, when all words are spoken and emotions are unleashed, what do we feel when we touch shoulder to shoulder in silence? They say silence is unbearable. Could it be because we have learned to speak, and words have become our mask? But speaking does not mean having a conversation. Nowadays, when loved ones often become distant, it is crucial for people to converse with each other, and it doesn't necessarily have to be through words. I notice that people who love each other stop saying it out loud. Silence is frightening, but by breaking through it, we can and should remain in the realm of love.
