Director Biography - Doyun Blues, Lee youngcheon

Doyun Blues.

Doyun Blues made his Korean music debut in 2012 with the album ‘The Beginning’ by ‘Moon Cat’

In 2014, he also made his debut as a music video director through the music video of "the melody of little love" a song from the album marking the 20th anniversary of the debut of Korean rock guitarist Lee Hyun-seok.

As a composer, he has continued his activities through documentary music, broadcasting music, and various sound works.

Also, he is a vocalist of the Korean blues band, Purple lady Blues.

Among the songs on Purple lady blues’ first EP album, "A Little Bit Special Story," he directed the music video for "That is How He Became a Legend" and "COIN.“

Lee youngcheon

Director Lee youngcheon is the head of ‘BBANG Flim’ which specializes in producing South Korea's commercial flim and music video.

He produced the commercial films of various Korean companies.

His major music video works include "Anymore" by Korean singer Jung Key, "Close Far" by Baek Ji Woong and "YES or NO" by Thalia.

The song got the motif from the story of Robert Johnson, a famous musician who
is told that he has sold his soul to the devil in exchange for extraordinary guitar
skills. The devil, the speaker of the song, asks what you really want, and tempts
you to be honest with your desires and find true freedom.
Sell your soul, and you can be a legend….
Doyun Blues’ vocal, whispering at first and exploding like volcanoes at last, is
very enchanting. Doyun Blues plays the role of the devil, and SAZA Choi plays the
guitar of the devil.
At the postlude, the madness the acoustic guitar performance of SAZA Choi
reveals will seduce you.
As the motif is from Robert Johnson, the song was arranged in Delta Blues
acoustic sounds of his time. According to Doyun Blues, who was in charge of the
mixing, the song can be depicted as a magic lamp made of percussion and bass,
from which the mixed sound of the vocal and the guitar shoos out like 'Genie.'
