Director Statement

At age 30, I found myself in a unique position. I was the only person I knew who had NEVER had any form of social media. So I picked up a camera and decided to document my experience of getting it for the first time. I was 'out of touch' with technology to say the least. With what started as a simple experiment to discover all I had been missing out on, I unexpectedly was detoured to a haunting reveal of why I never joined in the first place.

This film reminds us of a simpler time of connection, as well as the humorous novelty of navigating social media as a newbie. More importantly, this story illuminates reconnecting to what matters most, even if its not what we expected.
