Director Biography - Caleb Morgan

My name is Caleb Morgan and I am from Sun Valley, Idaho. I usually write my stories by deriving comedy from serious situations. They often-times start out with the idea of a mundane and ordinary life with an absurd twist. That way everybody can still relate to the subject-matter. I am thrilled to have been able to write and direct Thanks For Calling, and I hope that you enjoy it as well!

Director Statement

Even though "Thanks For Calling" is meant to be comedic, it will also be used to shed light on a subject that people don't talk enough about—workplace treatment and career happiness. Although working in a call center is a perfectly respectable job, the facilities are often lacking in every facet. The work places are small and the overall feeling from the management is one of pure corporate greed—the inside feels like a bee hive of employees that will work until they drop.
During my visit to a call center, I was amazed by the sheer volume of displeased individuals that I talked with. The goal of this film is to show this issue in a light-hearted fashion—to show the desire that some call center employees have to chase something new.
I am so grateful that the story of Thanks For Calling was able to be made. It was important to me to be able to share a bit of my own personal experience with call centers in the form of a fantastical story. This experience has been a dream come true and I am so thankful for the amazing support group I had around me.
