As a commercial and music video director, my cinematic vision aims to explore the depth of the image and the mind. My works have been featured on CNN, Billboard magazine, The Times of Israel, and several major Israeli TV channels.
In recent years, I’ve delved into the forgotten folklore of ancient Jewish Blackmagic texts, wishing to adapt them to modern, heart-wrenching films. Tevel is the first in a series of films exploring the field. I strive to represent the Jewish heritage in intimate yet exciting ways, presenting a family drama within a fantastical Jewish context.
The film is based on a Jewish spell book, Sefer HaRazim, dating to the 4th century AD. Quotes from the book are present in the film. As far as I know, this book has yet to be featured in any film or TV series worldwide.
While the Israeli and Jewish identities become more conflicted due to recent political events, I try to deal with these issues indirectly, presenting characters that try to break out of the cycle of violence but fail.
