Director Biography - Peter Darney

Peter is a queer artist working in film, TV and Theatre. He recently directed Teth (Beastly Media/S4C) which was selected for BFI Flare 2025 and was the first Welsh Language film to screen there in its history.
His award-winning short G Flat (BFI/Ffilm Cymru/BBC Wales) played festivals internationally, including BFI Flare, Iris Prize, Immage + Nation and Dinard Film Festival where it won Best Short Film.

He was the 2nd unit director on the BAFTA Nominated Lost Boys and Fairies (BBC), directing substantial sequences and on feature film The Radleys (Sky Cinema).
His play 5 Guys Chillin' has played all over the world including London, Edinburgh, Dublin, Toronto, Sidney, Off-Broadway and Paris and was named one of '10 Plays that changed queer theatre history' in the Evening Standard.
