Director Tessie G.A. grew in Mexico City until she moved to Barcelona at the age of 17 to study film. During that time, she also studied film in France and Germany. All those international experiences have influenced the themes of her projects, focusing in universal stories and social justice. After graduating, she directed some shorts films, including “Mamacita”, which introduced Tessie to the film festival circuit. “Children of Hope” is her first feature documentary.
