Terminator Too - The Movie

Synopsis Terminator Too, The Movie

Two guys who are tired of watching the same type of movies over and over again decide to make their own Hollywood blockbuster.
In “Terminator Too, The Movie” every character, stunt and costume is home-made, even the songs, all sung in polyphony, and score are.
This short movie is based on the theatre play “Terminator Too” (2019) by Vervloet & De Studio and is inspired by the documentary “The Wolfpack” (2015). Both show brothers who are alienated from the outside world and stuck in their homes resorting to movies.

The story of this short goes as follows.

Two random guys on a couch are switching channels, indecisive of what to watch, when they start singing the theme song of 20th Century Fox. A cardboard version of the intro appears on their television screen. The screen transforms into full screen. More well-known intros follow. The movie, their movie, starts.

Princess Leia, played by one of the guys, and R2D2, a home-made vacuum cleaner, are being chased by The Joker, played by the other guy. Princess Leia calls a Liam-Neeson-type-of-guy to come and rescue her. Too late unfortunately: Princess Leia is kidnapped, on which the Liam-Neeson-type-of-guy starts the “TAKEN” monologue and swears to save her. To do so the Liam-Neeson-type-of-guy transforms into Batman.

On his quest Batman encounters Morpheus from ‘The Matrix’ who makes him an offer he can’t refuse. Batman takes a red pill in order to find The Joker and Princess Leia.

Batman is set on a hero's journey. Via the red pill he wakes up in different famous movie scenes as ‘The Terminator’, ‘Jurassic Park’ and ‘Kill Bill’, trying to find Princess Leia without succeeding. He swallows more and more red pills, causing an Alice In Wonderland meets Inception kind of trip.

Batman wakes up in an interrogation room facing the Joker who confesses the whereabouts of Princess Leia. She’s at Wayne Manor, Batman’s house, having the public ending up in ‘Seven‘s’ famous “What's in the box” scene.

When Batman finds out that the love of his life is killed by The Joker he kills the latter.
Yet another plot twist occurs: Princess Leia is not dead, neither is The Joker.

We see the two random guys of yesteryear react, bringing in another metalayer to the movie.

An epic fight between Batman and The Real Joker appears to be leading to a happy ending after all… Or is it a nightmare?

Confused, Batman scares himself awake. Is the woman lying next to him really Princess Leia? Or is it just another fake one? He hesitates to wake her up. It is Princess Leia soothing Batman who felt like he was in a dream, inside a dream, inside a dream.
Batman takes the ‘Inception’ spinning top and spins it. By doing so he ends the movie.
