Samuca was born and raised in Contagem - MG, and has been working since he was very young. At the age of 18 he went to Sao Paulo where he took a photojournalism course with João Bittar, got to know the news, returned to BH and entered the state of Minas, a local newspaper commanded by Aécio Neves and family, his story begins to take shape. He started two courses but did not complete any: cinema and journalism.
He worked for 5 years in that newsroom, and left there wanting the world! That was when he joined Reuters and covered the massacre in Tahir Square in Egypt, went to the largest slum in the world in Kenya, tried to enter Somalia, failed, after some more work he returned to Brazil and started contributing to Folha de SP. That was when I gave up everything and started advertising, as a technical school for cinema.
In photojournalism he discovered that he could be the bridge between these two worlds, one of futility and one of difficulties, he found happiness in both, but he still wonders if we are equal in disgrace.
