When I started out shooting Tents of God and superstorm’s Sandy and the effects on Staten Islanders I was shocked at the devastation in the beach areas. Homes were destroyed, trees uprooted and lifestyles frayed. But people were not the only ones who faced being displaced. Animals and wildlife lost their habitats because of overdevelopment. A silver lining from this natural disaster is that through buy it back projects Mother Nature is returning to grasslands and animal and bird species are starting to flourish. Overdevelopment is an eradicating favor for all life.
