You Really Gotta Want It
This music makes the body dance free and spontaneously. It makes everybody dance in places where possibly no one has experienced. In an uncontrolled pace - colours, textures and character - explore a different choreography from place to place.

Ricardo has always been passionate of the audio-visual arts. He has been working in this sector since 2002 predominantly as director, cinematographer and camera operator in institutional films, TV and advertising projects for several Portuguese organizations and television channels. Lately he has also devoted to the creation of motion graphics.
His artwork has focused mainly on producing and directing music videos and currently in the creation of fiction film.
In 2013 he directed the music video "Scars" that put "Kandia" at the top of the Global Rockstars competition.
In 2014 he directed the music video “Take Me”, for "Last Chance", in collaboration with the North American director: Nathanael Matanick.
This music provokes a certain melancholy and simultaneously makes me want to dance freely and spontaneously.
I tried to portray these two features creating, on the one hand, a character that draws attention even though he is "neutral" and almost without expression; his presence forces us to stop to see what will happen, this is enhanced by the chosen and empty locations, together with a diffused light; on the other hand, I searched for a protagonist who likes to dance but is not a professional dancer, in order to be able to direct a character who feels the music and dances in a genuine way, as anyone can do privately.
I sought to make a video that is simple and with a strong aesthetic component, using textures and colours, suppressing perspectives and complex movements.
