Tennessee Film Nights was started by the faculty & students at East Tennessee State University's Media & Communication Department as a way to show locally made films and showcase local talent. We partnered with the awesome Atlantic Alehouse to present a regular mini-series of three evenings of screenings each fall and spring. Though our initial screenings presented only the work of films made in our immediate region, we are looking forward to inviting filmmakers from across our fine state to show their work at the Atlantic Alehouse's awesome outdoor beer garden.

Screenings will take place for three consecutive Tuesday evenings in spring 2024 at the Atlantic Alehouse in Johnson City, Tennessee:
March 26 @ 8pm. Atlantic Alehouse. 111 McClure Street. Johnson City, TN.
April 2 @ 8pm. Atlantic Alehouse. 111 McClure Street. Johnson City, TN.
April 9 @ 8pm. Atlantic Alehouse. 111 McClure Street. Johnson City, TN.

Venue is outdoors, so in case of inclement weather, screening will be rescheduled.

  • Tennessee Film Nights is a great way to connect with local filmmakers and show off your work! The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The talent that comes through is wonderful and the creators themselves are a joy to be around! I have had the privilege to show some of my work and always love hearing feedback and answering questions after the screenings. If you are local to the area or even passing through make sure to check out the screenings and submit your work!
