Director Biography - Emma Kanter

Emma Kanter is a Writer, Director, and Editor from the Bay Area. Emma has directed and edited a variety of short form content, including music videos for Grammy award-winning artist, Anna Wise. Her sci-fi pilot 1 Minute to Midnight is a Finalist at the Sundance Episodic Lab this year. She has worked in TV Writers Rooms for the past 6 years and has directed web content for NBC. Currently Emma works as a Writers' Assistant for the forthcoming HBO Television series about the Los Angeles Lakers. She studied Film & Media at UC Santa Barbara and has worked in TV and Film Production for the past 8 years in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and Canada.

Tenderly is an almost-love story that depicts the repercussions of a fated one night stand. As a raw and honest depiction of an affair and how it affects all parties, Tenderly is a commentary on the collision of fantasy and reality in millennial courtship.
