Tenant

Tenant is a story set in the present day in kabale (south Western Uganda). It is a story of Gorret 25, a single mother of a one year old son. She leaves in a single rented room and her only source of income is a basket of fresh fruits she spends every day vending along the dusty streets of kabale with her son tied on her back.

Her Tuesday morning turns into a night mare after she hides from her landlord with the hope that he will go back when she doesn't answer the door but instead the landlord locks the house with her son sleeping.

Despite the pleading of Gorret, the landlord uses the baby sleeping to his advantage and refuses to open for her until she pays him all his money for the past six months which she obviously doesn't have. The landlord leaves leaving the house locked with the baby sleeping who will wake-up any time.
