Private Project

Remote Times

Fifty-year-old Adamastor is a frustrated intellectual and modest civil servant who lives with his elderly mother in a house that seems to have stagnated in the middle of the 20th century. He wears clothes covered in aluminum foil and has an unproven thesis about how electromagnetic waves influence the behavior of the Brazilian people. When a nerdy young woman called Alana comes to the library where he works and takes an interest in his decades-old research, Astor - as she affectionately calls him - seems not only to have found love again, but also an incentive for his theory to reach the world through one of the media he loathes the most: the internet.
