Tell Your Friends To Pull Up
Sitting in a car inside a parking garage, two indecisive and the third running late, three girls argue over the best way to write their ransom note.
Teetering on the edge of comedic character study and poignant exploration of the things that bring us closer, TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO PULL UP explores the dynamic between three friends in the moments before they continue, with immense questionability, to enact a plot of vengeance against their ringleaders ex boyfriend.

Emily Derlin is a filmmaker and screenwriter based in Sydney. Born in New Zealand, her style reflects the niche aspects of growing up in a small town, with a focus on character study and exploring intra personal relationships, drawing from guerrilla style filmmaking to contrast balmy landscapes with poignant subject matter; deep-diving in to themes of connection, reflection, and grief, often via a comedic lens. Emily is a recent Master of Moving Image graduate from the University of Sydney.
When those whom we share all our secrets and embarrassing first date stories with happen to be our partners in crime, the only logical reasoning is to in fact do what you know; blending together the messiness of comradeship and how far we will go for the people we care about.
