Tee Washington has been writing and performing comedy since 2002. Beginning as a regular at the Punchline doing standup to moving to doing One Man Shows in 2013. In 2017 he wrote and performed his second one man show and in 2021 He wrote and performed his 3rd entitled, "Petty". He took time off from performing in 2017 to pursue his entrepreneurial dreams. He invented a product and won a competition on the home shopping network. Now Tee's product is being sold all around the world. The stage was not forgotten and with one more story to be told, he wrote and created the show "Petty" which has been called a "Richard Pryor & Eddie Murphy" level of storytelling and comedy.
I was inspired to write, perform and direct this film to allow people to use their imaginations, as I told a story. I wanted people to be engaged and relate to the stories as if we were having an incredible conversation that was irresistible. Shot with 2 cams, the steady cam has a gritty look that follows the theme of a retro videotape look. This is all one take which adds to the rawness and fun.
