Tee-à with the Tigers

Tee-à with the Tigers is an inspirational documentary about the pristine golf courses and golf lovers of north east states of India. The documentary highlights the numerous heritage golf courses in Upper Assam set up about 100 years ago by the British and Scottish planters when tea,oil,coal and wood was first discovered in this area. This golfing heritage somehow has been kept alive now over the years thanks to the tea estate managers, oil company managers and the caddies,the sons of the soil. These caddies use primitive means to play golf , perhaps the orignal one when the game was first invented and yet have potential to defeat the best players of cities and towns. Their talent indeed is a hidden treasure unknown to the world.

This region has potential to be the golfing paradise of South East Asia and a home to champion international talents . The documentary is a cinematic treat and an effort to bring out the struggles within, induce a genesis for a responsible and a sustainable golf tourism,an alternative livelihood and also promote local talents in an achievable dream to become the next Tiger Woods from India.
