Tea Van de Burgt is a Melbourne-based writer and director, originally from rural Victoria, Australia. She studies at Deakin University, completing a double degree in Film, Television, and Animation, as well as Creative Writing. With a passion for crafting authentic female-driven stories, her work often delves into women’s stories, the complexities of relationships, and rural experiences. Tea’s debut short film, The Party’s Over, explores young women navigating the conflict between relationships and pursuing their dreams, while emphasising the impact of emotional manipulation.
