Tazara

Short musical film about a young boy in the early 1950s who finds a mysterious toy train in his village in Tanzania. The magical toy train sets him on a path that leads him to the love of his life.The Tazara train track in his neighbouring country Zambia becomes the centre stage of their love affair. The young Tanzanian man falls in love with a gorgeous Zambian lady, and their whole relationship is on the Tazara train. The two can't stay together because neither have the means to legally change citizenship. The woman falls pregnant and the two are forced to part ways. The man gives the woman his most prized possession his magical toy train. She returns to her village in Zambia to bear her child. Many years later their love child seeks out his father on the same Tazara train.

Director Biography - Mutembo Ndeke

Zambian born director with a history in cartoon animation, comics and music. He made the first 3D animation series in Zambia 2007. He has spent most of his professional career in the advertising industry, producing many music videos and television adverts. Fine art, music and photography are areas he is passionate about and he always tries to tell a story through all his work.
