Tatunca Nara's life was marked by events worthy of na adventure book. The son of a tribal chief and a German prisoner, he was born in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest and made a living by working on a ship. Unfairly or not, Tatunca has suffered countless charges of crimes that no one has yet been able to prove. In this documentary, Tatunca is heard like never before, telling what many have tried to tell on his behalf: his own life story.

Lucía Alonso and Guilherme Vernize are independent writers and filmmakers based in Curitiba, Brazil. Daniella Schuarts and Leonardo Salomão form the YUCA duo of directors based in Curitiba, Brazil. Together they produce films with a documentary focus and social impact.
