Hi, my name is Tate Hawver. I'm a writer, director, and editor from Orlando, FL. I graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in film production. Currently, I'm a video production intern at Walt Disney World.
At Winter Park High School, I took video production for four years and discovered my love for telling stories, particularly in filmmaking. I won multiple awards locally, regionally, and nationally across several different genres. The award I'm most proud of is my award from C-SPAN. Among over 2,300 applicants, I took second place in the southeastern region for a documentary on the Wekiva River.
In college, I managed to pay my rent by being a broadcast camera operator for the nationally televised sports UF proudly has. I also worked on dozens of student films, documentaries, commercials, and other school productions. I graduated magna cum laude on May 4th, 2019.
