Tarmac GPT blues
Thinking of ourselves is thinking of our world. From the sidewalks to our deepest phantasmagorias. If technology influences our life, even our creativity, the way imagination flows is still unpredictable.
This video poem is not an artwork based on generated probabilities of an AI but a patchwork of feelings, images and natural sounds mixed by a creator of contents. A kind of human data teller. It's his narrative goal and your mind which make this puzzle a kind of video poetry. Our senses always find a meaning. The blues does the rest.
Tarmac GPT blues
Small city lights
Vanished glories
I saw myself down the streets
Pretty much younger
But it was a dying shadow
In a flow of garbage bags.
Nowhere is everywhere
And somewhere is really anywhere.
What are we? Humans or pets?
Where I am, full of doubts and sadness?
Smoke rises from the sidewalks,
But rain is falling cold on the lost cars.
Are we still alive or are we already dead?
Hurry up!
Show must go on!
This is the 3th world war blind soundtrack.

I have been working in cultural sector for 30 years. Self-taught, my career has been built through encounters. Currently, I co-manage a cooperative in this field. I have also done radio, organized concerts and festivals, edited magazines, created a design studio and a micropublishing house, etc. From my media experience, I have kept a taste for short forms, whether texts, music or video.
I began my apprenticeship by writing and drawing in my childhood. In 1994, I found myself in the garage punk band Mike Hey No More. Then in 2004 I discovered the dialogue between words, sounds and images on stage within the multimedia trio Ana. Since then, I explore works where the verb surveys different media: stage (Printemps des poètes, BPI Pompidou, Capc Bordeaux, Jimmachine’s tour in Japan, …), devices (Chevaux 2 Vent, Viral…) and exhibitions (Couper-coller, Frgmts collective). I write without claiming to be a writer, I make collages without calling myself a visual artist, I make videos without being a director and music without being a musician. In all this, poetry remains my guiding thread. In recent years, I have mainly devoted myself to video poetry and collages.
By cutting and pasting paper and images, I find a childish feeling of reappropriation of the world. A physical relationship with matter, the jubilation of improvisation and happy or unhappy chance. Slower and more cerebral in its implementation, video poetry is this moment of grace where images transport in music an imaginary in symbiosis with the text by giving them a new poetics. A perpetual quest in a way.
My creations were presented in around thirty international festivals: England, Belgium, USA, Lithuania, Ukraine, Greece, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil, Spain, Morocco, Byelorussia, Germany, Argentina, Japan, Mexico, and also in France…
Otherwise I got the Coup de Coeur Prix du Carnet de Voyage Numérique in the Rendez-vous du Carnet de voyage of Clermont-Ferrand for my filmpoem Yama Sakura. My mini poetic space opera « Le chant éteint d'Epsilon » was also awarded the Best Experimental Film Award at the Blood Stained Indie Film Festival in Japan and my video poem “90 seconds about the 90s” got an award at the Make Art not war festival of Porto.
