Best In Show
Best Animated Short, Best Film Short

Any Tarleton State University student can submit work for consideration (even non-ART/DMS or COMM majors). Bonus - Tarleton alumni may always submit to any FMMF festival, no matter how long it's been since graduation.

WHAT QUALIFIES?
Video art, short films, animations, game/digital environment art – anything that moves that can be projected onto a cinema screen. Work does not need to be strictly narrative or linear – experimental videos are highly encouraged and will also be considered for selection. Only work submitted by Tarleton Students and alumni will be considered. All work should be under 10 minutes.

Note that work submitted with no audio, has poor audio quality, or work that is very short might be screened with an added musical score for flow and continuity.

QUALITY CONTROL
Intentional low-tech art can be amazing, and if you think you have a strong piece, please submit it. For films that are meant to look HD/professional, be aware that videos that lose too much visual information due to resolution, compression, bitrate and size issues will look very disappointing on large cinema screens – so be aware of the quality of your work before submitting. If your work is amazing but the quality is too poor, it most likely will not be selected.

AUDIO, AUDIO, AUDIO!
When recording and editing, always work with the actual audio levels - do NOT go by the volume of what you hear in your headphones, as it has very little to do with the sound level and quality you will hear on pro cine speakers. Films with poor audio that cannot be salvaged will not be considered for screening.

PUBLICITY & MARKETING
By submitting your video to our festival you agree to allow FMMF to use excerpts or stills of your work, your name, biography and other given information regarding your submission for the purposes of marketing, advertising and promoting online, on social media, or in print. The artist who submits a video must own the rights to do so and is responsible for the content they are providing.
