Tarader Majhe

Kaushik Sengupta, the Director of the short documentary film 'Tarader Majhe', 'The Genesis of Zero' is a promising, young, dynamic and vibrant film Director of contemporary era in Bengali Film Industry. Apart from being a film Director, he is a renowned lyricist, poet, theatre artist and anchor as well. He inherited his multidisciplinary talent both from his paternal and maternal ancestors. From his tender age he was strongly influence of his father, a theatre artist, who bedewed his artistry to be the best edition of masterpiece it truly is. As a theatre worker Kaushik Sengupta enacted a number of plays under the direction of the legendary artist and Director Sri Utpal Dutta.
Kaushik Sengupta is a powerful Reciter and anchor as well. He possesses the experiences of presenting innumerable number of cultural events including classical ones on stage as an anchor. He was bestowed with the prize of 'The Best Anchor of The Year', twice from 'Uttam Kumar Prashar Samity'. Kaushik Sengupta's film “Ichchhemotir Goppo” was acclaimed widely. Staring Saswata Chatterjee, Tanusree Chakraboty, Biswajit Chakraboty, Chitra Sen, Aparajita Auddya and many others starred the film.
He directed a number of short films like 'Wrong Route' starred by Rupankar Bagchi, which won many prizes. He also directed a film known as 'Bapuji' which was telecasted Nationally through Zee Network Channel.
He is an eminent poet and lyricist too. He wrote many poems and song which are widely appreciated and some of them became smash hits. He was awarded Gold Disc twice for his CD Album “Ichchhemotir Goppo” and “Roddurer Goppo”. His short film “Banshi, The Flute” was Nationally as well as Internationally acclaimed and he bagged 'The Best Director' award for the said film at Mumbai. In all the big-named film festival like “Golpo Nirjhar” and “Chitra Bani” etc., Kaushik Sengupta's film have been applauded widely, several times.
Among his latest prominent works, 'Tarader Majhe' is another one which is a documentary picturised upon the living legend of our film industry Smt. Madhabi Mukherjee. Last but not the least, Kaushik Sengupta's 'The Genesis of Zero' is another remarkable science oriented work documented at Ramkrishna Mission Residential College, (Autonums) Narendrapur. It will not be an overstatement to say that he is on his way to outdo any odds and fly high with vivid colors while nurturing his creative mind.
