Tapeball
A family in rural Minnesota transforms their expansive front yard into a magnificent ballpark for a game they created based on traditional American baseball. This is the story of how the game evolved and an exploration of the extraordinary moments and culture it has created.

Having spent 12 years in advertising and multimedia production, first-time filmmaker Joe Nyquist has taken on the challenge of directing, producing, filming, editing, and scoring "Tapeball" by himself.
Joe lives in the Twin Cities with his wife and two children.
I discovered Tapeball 10 years ago when I was invited by a friend to play. The gifts this game and this family have given me have been so altering to the way I see the world that telling the story had to happen. I did my best to put as much love into this film as the subjects put into their game.
“Tapeball” is uplifting, unique, and helps everyone feel part of the game.
