Over the years, the Festival has welcomed an incredible array of talented actors and actresses. Among the most famous names to have attended the event are cinema legends such as Marlene Dietrich, Elizabeth Taylor, Charlton Heston, Audrey Hepburn and Richard Burton. More recently, the Festival has hosted stars such as Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro, Colin Firth, Monica Bellucci, John Malkovich and Richard Gere.

The presence of these great performers has helped to consolidate the Festival's reputation as one of the world's most prestigious film destinations.

Rules & Terms

COMPETITION
Feature films completed after October 1, 2024, are eligible to
participate in the competition selections.
A maximum of 10 films will be admitted.
Only films premiering in Italy will be accepted.
The festival management will appoint an international jury
responsible for awarding the following prizes:
• Best Film Award
• Best Actress Award
• Best Actor Award
OUT OF COMPETITION
Feature films, documentaries, and/or short films completed after
October 1, 2024, may participate in the out-of-competition section.
Films that have already been screened in any way in Italy are not
eligible.
A maximum of 20 films will be selected.
FILM SUBMISSION (Competition and Out of Competition)

All submission requests must be made through the FilmFreeway
platform.
Filmmakers wishing to participate in any festival section must
submit a streaming link starting March 10, 2025, and no later than
May 23, 2025.
The selection committee will decide in which section each
accepted film will be placed.
COPIES
For invited films only, the festival will request a complete
documentation package, providing a list of required materials for
screening and promotional purposes.
