Taming House

When I was writing my master's thesis in dramatic literature, I was reading Michel Foucault books because of its content. "Discipline and Punish: The Birth of the Prison" and "History of Madness" were the most influential books for my studies.
The title of my thesis was "Methods of Punishment and Outcast Characters in dramatic literature of Iran in 1350s. I was looking for the Outcast Characters in our own dramatic literature until I thought to myself the view of the power can occur in Iranian family. Father as power and the wife and children as subordinates.
Writing of this script began with this question; "If the father of a family who is currently proposal ceremony one of his daughters decides to hide the family son's insanity from the guests in order to have a successful ceremony, what should he do?"
This was not enough .In terms of the expressive form of the film I had to find a way to bring the situation closer to a rejected person by family.
The minimalist design of the space and atmosphere was perhaps the best way and on the other hand, to use review of memories that the outcast person in the psychiatric hospital can have by looking at a photo.
I chose the storytelling form with unclear photos and images so that I could expand the entire film in a moment of taking the photo. I think this was an experimental idea, Create a challenge for moving images that is the main component of cinematic nature!
The parts that I used the film and movement are not normal either.
Everything is designed to accommodate the illness and rejection of a son from the family and his placement in a psychiatric hospital.
We decided to make this film with our own budget. My wife produced it and we recorded it in a cinema town in Tehran.
