Talisman

A thousand years after the destruction, one of the old Gods has returned. Grand Master Khanda, head of an ancient Order, sends a young Wizard named Baker to embark upriver and kill this God before he destroys what's left of their world. Will Baker be able to complete his mission or will Khanda have to leave the planet with all that remains of the Order?

Director Biography - Dylan Alexander

From 2020-2022 Dylan had the pleasure of working with the BLUNT Digital Media Collective, culminating in the release of animated short film VICK and PC game NUN. Since then, he has started his own production company KADABRA, creating animated films for streaming service clients, music videos, commercials, and animated short film TALISMAN.

Director Statement

I started writing Talisman in late 2021 and spent the next 2 years re-writing, shooting test footage and animating. Finally, at the end of 2023 it's ready for the world to see. This was a labor of love and all done as a solo-creative. I wanted to see what I was truly capable of and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. During production, I came out to my friends and family. I feel like this was my passion project during a time of major transformation in my life and hopefully it shows in the film. I have a love for old S&S fantasy films and wanted to try my hand at creating an entertaining tale with magic, Gods, and Wizards. It's filled with nods to classics mixed with Sci-Fi elements and my own personal style. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it!
