Tales of a Paper Hair Goddess

A demon is attacking Kyoto. Katsura must save the city, along with
goddess, Amaterasu, and folk-legend, Momotaro. However, because Katsura is new to town, her fish-out-of-water struggles make the mission harder than first expected.

Director Statement

I moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Osaka, Japan three years ago. Inspired by my Japanese studies and my lived experiences as a foreigner, I created KaminoKaminoKami: Tales of a Paper Hair Goddess.
The goal of the film is to express the joys, humor and challenges of being a foreigner in Japan, while demonstrating the beauty of cross-cultural relationships and celebrating the inviting warmth of Japanese culture. My hope is that anyone who watches the film, inside Japan or beyond, may feel that warmth and experience empathy for anyone, no matter their language or background.
