I'm a film student studying in and working out of L.A.
I was born in New York and grew up in several states.
My passion for cinema really spawned while I was in high school, and it led me to pursue the path of making my own films to express myself.
To get all the profound darkness inside of me that typically doesn't come out translated onto film.
Take Me Out is a story that comes from deep inside of me, one I've been trying to get out of me for years. A story about depression and self-hatred. A story about how your lowest points in life can lead to the end, and how these feelings never really go away. How depression doesn't really have a specific root, and how it just feels like an uncontrollabe, undifferentiated sense of mayhem. It's something I've struggled with for years, and I had to do something about it, so I made this.
Take Me Out is by far the most personal film I've ever made, and the first one I actually believe in, the one I put my entire soul into.
I know there are so many people who feel like they live alone in the world with mental health problems like depression, and I want to do it some justice by sharing my story.
I really hope this film reaches people and can make an impression, even on just one person.
I'm grateful for everything I had going into this project, and I can't be more appreciative to my crew, friends, and family who supported me in making this story possible.
"Note to self: Three Words...
Take. Me. Out."
