Director Biography - Carmen Vincent

Carmen Vincent is a 21-year-old documentary filmmaker with a passion for empowering people to tell their own stories. Carmen has completed multiple video production and industry-related internships for organizations such as the Welcome Project, WTTW, Bright Stars of Bethlehem, and local television stations. Carmen loves making short documentaries in her "free" time, focusing on empowering marginalized voices. Thus far, Carmen has made documentaries about mental illness, sexuality and gender, and disability. Her work is fueled by Maya Angelou's quote, "There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you." Her goal is to relieve that agony for her storytellers, and introduce her audience to new perspectives.
