Tahlia Pompel is a queer Asian American filmmaker from Southern California. She was part of the Digital Media Arts Academy at El Dorado High School and was a student of FilmED Academy of the Arts from 2021-2024. She specializes in directing and cinematography. She attends Chapman University, majoring in Film and Television Production with an emphasis in directing.
Tahlia's work focuses on real human emotion and struggle. She strives to use art as a vehicle to shine a light on stories that are not always heard but need to be told. Her passion is to empathize with her audience and create timeless work that people of multiple backgrounds can identify with. She believes that the most effective way to open one's mind is through the comfort of entertainment.
