Tadhiginathom
Tadhiginathom is a comedy of errors, set in the movie crazy city of Hyderabad, through the course of one night. In Hyderabad, movies have always been more than just entertainment. It’s a world where lead actors are referred to as ‘heroes’ or ‘stars’, and fanaticism goes beyond reason. The distinction between reel and real life is blurred with fans literally worshiping them as though they were Gods, even celebrating their film releases as festivals!
CK, a spoiled rich kid, is one such die-hard fan of the biggest ‘hero’ in town. So fanatical, that he always dreams to emulate his idol and do something ‘heroic’ in his everyday life as the president of a fan Club in the city.
Amidst the noise of this ‘fan-Culture’, Robin and Hassan are two aspiring indie filmmakers struggling to find ‘real’ cinema, arrogant about their ways and dismissive about the status-quo.
When an erstwhile maverick director Vasu trolls CK’s Hero for doing uninspiring, crappy films, CK hires Muthu and Pichai, two goons from Madurai to kidnap Vasu to teach him a lesson.
The night gets interesting when the filmmaker duo end up shooting the kidnapping and Williams, a sub-inspector, while on a casual investigation, lands himself in the middle of this chaos.
Tadhiginathom is the story of the lengths that these characters go to prove their love for cinema and how that common love brings them together to have an experience of a lifetime.

Siddharth may have a Masters in Visual Communications (with a gold medal to show for it) and more than a decade of experience in a range of jobs including ad copywriting, screenwriting, editing and digital cinematography, but he is a film-maker because he cannot help it. Writing and editing films is how he stays sane and grounded, and makes sense of the world. He believes that the joy of making a film is far greater than what an audience can get from merely sitting and watching it, and so will continue to make films even if no one watches them. With an insatiable appetite and no compunctions of ‘good taste’ Siddharth watches and writes all kinds of films in all the spare time he can muster. And he hopes to be remembered for creating a cinema experience that transcends barriers of language, culture and thought.
Prashant -
I believe music and film are two art forms that are a process of questioning and manipulating time itself, using stories and their characters, sound and language. I believe in independent cinema, where the process (more like "love") of production is customized to suit the story we choose to tell. I prefer this approach over applying a standard approach to it.
I believe the chances of making a great film is infinitesimal, but with immense care and detail in the process of film-making we might actually achieve the unthinkable. Given the current state of the world around us, I feel that a good comedy will go a long way in diffusing the grim mood that surrounds us. I wish to see a theater full of people setting aside their daily lives and laughing at a bunch of guys goofing up at their job.
Siddharth - Movie-making is a dream that grows in and takes hold of a person like no other because it involves all the senses, all the arts and all the wits and courage one can muster. When we were taken by such a dream, we figured it was only fitting that it be a homage to cinema itself - as it thrives in all its forms in Hyderabad, the city in India we live in. Tadhinginathom is a story of love for cinema, and what that love pushes people to do. We had a ton of fun making the film and we could not stop that from percolating into the film. Because that is what film-making is about - not the stories, not the drama, but the sheer joy of creating something together. And we invite the audience to join us in that togetherness and create a film experience.
Prashant - Tadhiginathom is the start of the journey into our kind of filmmaking. It’s an attempt to bridge this gap between what is touted as indie and commercial cinema. The film itself is very accidental in nature, even in the way it was made. We kinda stumbled our way through the uncertainty, making sense of it as we went along, and there lies the charm of the film. It includes the city and it’s people, like the film belongs to them. So we’ve treated it in a way that it’s grounded and endearing , in a stark contrast to the larger than life, intimidating commercial cinema that we in this city are surrounded by . We do however share the same objective, to express our love for cinema and also, to just make a good comedy.
