TV bookclub - Reading the Earth
Episodic title: Un-bee-lievable Insects
Based on a few books regarding insects, this visual essay presents the interesting ecology of insects, people who love insects, and the musical aspects of insects. In this way, it manifests they are our friends and how scary it is to lose them.
Think about it. 80% of insects have disappeared in the last 3-40 years.
Their disappearance is not only a loss of beloved friends but a sad warning that much of Earth is disappearing. It's time to sincerely mourn and reflect on the loss of these friends.

Seulgira Kim is a contents director of KBS (Korean Broadcasting System). For years, she mainly worked on entertainment programs, ranging from music programs to variety genres. Then she began to shift the genre towards environment after taking an interest in the climate crisis issue during her master's degree. Recently, she is participating in TV programs related to nature, such as Hidden Earth and Un-bee-lievable Insects.
Insects represent the largest number of species and populations on Earth. Above all, they become music, poems, and friends for us. But what? Are they disappearing? What is happening to our friends?
