TT

A man suffering from memory loss encounters a furious stranger who shares his face — their meeting unfolding at the edge of a cliff. With no understanding of the stranger’s rage, only driven by curiosity, he follows this mysterious double through surreal landscapes. Along the way, encounters with others in this unusual village begin to stir fragments of memory — revealing a forgotten bond that may hold the key to who he truly is, and what connects them.

Director Statement

TT is an effort to return to the roots of cinema — a dialogue-less narrative built on visuals, rhythm, and emotional resonance. Set in an ethereal, imaginary land, it draws inspiration from the real “twin village” of Kodinhi in Kerala, India, and features an all-twin cast and one set of triplets — potentially making it a first of its kind in world cinema.

At its core, TT explores the fragility of memory, the pain of identity loss, and the silent grief of caretakers — all without words. The themes are carried through symbolic visuals, emotional rhythm, and immersive sound, rather than traditional narrative or exposition.

The creative constraints — no dialogue, non-actors, tight timelines — became part of the language of the film. Each frame was storyboarded, revised, and reshaped countless times. As a one-man crew, I took on the direction, cinematography, editing, sound, and music — building TT layer by layer until it felt emotionally whole.

This is not a film that tells.
It evokes.
It leaves space for interpretation, asking the viewer to feel rather than follow — to recognise something forgotten, rather than be told what it means.
