TRACES OF GRIEF

Shell-shocked Barbara must face up to the loss of a dear companion after a tragic accident. Her best friend Klara and husband Torsten devise a plan to thaw Barbara's heart, after she reminisces about the incident, the funeral, and happier times. Will she agree to the suggestions of her nearest and dearest? Can grief turn into hope?

Director Biography - Dave Lojek

Dave Lojek loves filmmaking. He belongs to the prolific and most often selected directors of the 21st century with over 1891 premiere screenings of his distributions at international festivals worldwide. His favorite genres are comedy, parody, fantasy, romance, poetry, sci-fi and experiment. Dave also directs documentaries, dramas, portraits, and music videos. His distributions won 236 film awards. Dave Lojek graduated with an Master of Arts degree in English / American and Cultural Studies from Humboldt-University in his hometown Berlin.

In terms of content and style, Dave's poetic films are about magic, love, death, friendship, loneliness, artists, oddities, escapism, mythology and the everyday. Based on the Homo-Ludens-principle, Dave clearly focuses his often-cheerful work on the universal and timeless. His motivation is intrinsic.

As independent producer, he created 178 movies in 26 cities in 12 European countries by 2024. Mr. Lojek hosts monthly open screenings in Germany’s oldest cinema and annual film workshops called KinoKabarets with his initiative KinoBerlino. Dave works as film distributor and president of a Film Association. The productions of APEIRON FILMS and KinoBerlino have been broadcast weekly since 2008 (ca. 11.982 times) on German TV and viewed online over 2 million times.
