THE WALL

Kuşadası, September 9, 1989. When Helmut from Berlin and Deniz from Kuşadası meet, despite their worlds in different languages, they create a common language and spend a few months together, enjoying each other's company and becoming blood brothers. Helmut returns to Berlin a day after the fall of the Berlin Wall. Years later, on an ordinary day in Kreuzberg, Helmut is taken back to the happy memories he shared with Deniz. Meanwhile, Deniz has moved to Istanbul. Both young people, amidst the crowd of the city, feel an inner loneliness and sadness, mixed with emotions similar to the hope and joy brought by the reunification of the West and East with the fall of the Wall. They build an imaginary bridge, coming together in memories that transcend seas.
