YOUTH AND BEAUTY IS A VIRTUE

The Quest for the Beautiful is a romantic comedy satirizing the obsession on beauty and youth. Cornucopia Metaxa, a renowned Canadian director of Greek descent has written a script called The Quest for the Beautiful; set in fifth century Athens Greece which was the Golden Age which laid the foundations of western civilization. The film satirizes Plato and other philosophers of the time theory on the virtues of love and sexuality. One of the greatest inventions of the ancient Greeks was drama and this film takes place in Mykonos and the ancient city of Delos amidst the ancient temples and amphitheater. Greek tragedies, featuring historical and mythological events, directed by authors such as Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides, Socrates, Plato, Aristophanes and Xenophon are featured in the script.

The main characters are Jonathon Connors a rising star in Hollywood and voted as the sexiest man alive by the tabloids. He is cast to play the coveted lead role of Agathon, the most beautiful man in the ancient world. Cornucopia Metaxa is the director and producer. She falls in love with Jonathon who is 20 years younger she has to deal with the symptoms of a mid-life crisis.
