I am a young, independent filmmaker from Odisha, a land known for its rich heritage and natural beauty in eastern India. With a background in mass communication, my primary passion lies in uncovering unexplored and untold stories and bringing them to life through the art of visual storytelling. I am constantly driven to adopt innovative creative strategies to enhance the reach and impact of my narratives, ensuring they resonate deeply with audiences in the evolving digital landscape.
One of my most significant achievements is directing the internationally acclaimed documentary The Mountain Hockey, a film that celebrates the spirit and struggles of tribal hockey players in Odisha. The documentary has gained recognition on global platforms such as Disney+ Hotstar, Amazon Prime, DocuBay, and more, while also being officially selected for renowned international film festivals like the Paladino d’Oro Sport Film Festival in Italy and Cannes Film Festival. This work stands as a testament to my commitment to telling stories that matter.
As a filmmaker, I believe it is my responsibility to explore and give voice to stories that often remain hidden in the shadows. Through my work, I aim to capture the essence of human experiences, cultural heritage, and the beauty of nature, weaving them into narratives that inspire, educate, and connect audiences. Cinema, to me, is more than entertainment—it is a medium of transformation, capable of leaving a lasting impact on individuals and society."
My journey as a filmmaker is driven by a deep sense of purpose: to create powerful, meaningful stories that not only reflect reality but also ignite hope, spark dialogue, and bridge cultural divides.
