THE MAD QUEEN - "No One Trusts A Traitor"
The MAD QUEEN, circa 1828, chronicles the rise of Ranavalona I -- the first female sovereign of Madagascar who fought viciously to keep her Island free from European colonization for 33 years. Fueled by passion, and then power -- she rules with a bloody hand until paranoia becomes her undoing.

Once an NBA-beat Producer at Fox Sports Net, the call for creating my own content surpassed my continued desire for a career in pro sports, so I left to pursue my MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute. A self-proclaimed "trophy mom," avid skier, and passionate bookseller, I craft stories that challenge me as a writer with a sense of adventure.
Power corrupts, female empowerment & childhood abandonment are three themes that are explored in this action-packed, historical drama set on an exotic Island -- that still resonate with society today. Since the beginning of time women have had to fight against men as allies and oppressors to prove themselves worthy at every turn. I am one of those women. What drew me to this project was the misperception of a female ruler held to completely different standards than her male predecessors. I felt the need to change to that!
