Director Biography - Victor Vildosola

Victor Vildosola began his professional career at an early age as the guitarist for the iconic Chilean group La Pozze Latina, participating in the recording and tour of the album Desde el Mundo de los Espejos (1999), which included the classic "Chica Eléctrica." His versatility led him to work as a music producer on multiple projects, notably the remake of Los Prisioneros’ anthem "Corazones Rojos," featured on the tribute album released by a major label in 2001.

Throughout his career, he has fused genres and explored new sounds, founding the band Tranki in 2007 and developing projects such as Preachers in Armani, which focused on experimental electronic and hip-hop music. His creative journey took him to Mexico City, where he collaborated with artists like Mariel Mariel and La Niña Dioz. He also produced remixes for artists such as Torreblanca and worked at the intersection of music and audiovisual production.

In New York, he expanded his career as a producer and music educator, teaching at the Bronx Museum and collaborating with the collective Rebel Díaz. Alongside Dirty Delorean, he performed across Greece and South America, strengthening his identity as a global musician.

Currently, he leads THEKOIWAY, a music project that blends music, culture bridging, and social consciousness. His music video The Game of Life (2025), starring legendary Chilean actor Héctor Noguera, has been recognized for its powerful narrative and message on diversity and identity. This piece marks his consolidation as a film director, integrating theatrical, cinematic, and choreographic elements for a multisensory experience.

His involvement in film extends beyond directing; he served as music designer and foley artist for the 2024 film Tú y Yo en Queens, directed by Mariano Casanova and funded by the Queens Arts Council. The film received critical acclaim, earning a nomination for Best Actor at the Dominican Film Festival in New York.

Under THEKOIWAY, he has developed a live show with an innovative stage concept, incorporating immersive visuals and artistic performances. Recently, he released the maxi-single for The Game of Life, featuring an English version and remixes by New York-based producers JeruMatic and Dough Juan. He is also in the process of producing the animated music video for Cordillera, in collaboration with visual artist Esteban Bustos.

With a career spanning music, production, and film direction, Victor Vildosola continues to explore new forms of expression, bringing his art to global stages and contributing to the evolution of contemporary Latin American sound.

Director Statement

As an artist, my work has always been rooted in storytelling that challenges perceptions and sparks reflection. The Game of Life is more than just a music video; it’s a visual and sonic journey that explores the complexities of existence, resilience, and identity.

Through striking cinematography, immersive performance, and a layered narrative, we sought to create a piece that resonates beyond the music itself, blurring the line between reality and allegory. Featuring the legendary Chilean actor Héctor Noguera, this project brings together diverse creative forces to reflect on the game we all play in society.

This video is an extension of THEKOIWAY’s artistic vision, fusing music, theater, and social consciousness into a cohesive experience. Having this work showcased at the Indie Shorts Awards in New York City would be an honor, as the city itself has been a melting pot of inspiration for my creative journey.

Thank you for considering The Game of Life.
