Private Project

NOT ALONE

The city is taken by this endless dresses, by this rounded, raw, arrhythmic
dance. In a crowded Buenos Aires suburb, the inhabitants seem to be hidden, their presence can be felt but nobody is at sight. Only dancers are left to take over the spaces, make them their own, communicate, have fun and love each other. Each one moves as they feel, each dancer has their own pace and their own music playing in their head, but somehow they communicate with each other.

This video is an exploration of the shapes and moves of the bodies within the tubular dresses with no stitches. The flexibility of the high-speed moves and the calmness of a flexing body. We wanted to create a dance that didn’t have a beginning or an end, that was just rounded and intuitive. To explore the dance between the moves, not an entire choreography, just beginnings, or ends, or those moments when there is nothing.

We shot this video just before COVID put us inside our houses and we feel that it speaks to us as a message of love and care to each other on an isolated borough.
