Laura Calavia studied at the University School of Cinema and Visual Communication of Catalonia (ESCAC) supported by grants from the Catalonia Regional Government and from the Zaragoza Provincial Council. After her degree specializing in Film Direction, the School gave her an exchange scholarship to attend a screenwriting workshop at EICTV, the International Cinema and Television School, in San Antonio de Los Baños (Cuba). Aside from her work as AD, she is a scriptwriter, recently nominated for Best Screenplay in the Valencian Audiovisual Awards for her work in the script of “Fishbone”. The feature film, directed by Adán Aliaga, was premiered last year in Mostra de Valencia.
