The Door of Memories

In Ming's hat and Qing's clothes he stood,
A rebel king who fought for good.
May was his time, but not for long,
For in June, he was brought down wrong.

“The Door of Memories” tells the legend of Taiwan’s first rebel king, Zhu Yi-guai. The song incorporates his image from the statue located in Luohan Neimen (the present Neimen district in Kaohsiung City). The composition consists of four sections representing wind, forest, fire, and mountains.

The performers in the video shift their positions according to the Bagua formation from “The Art of War” to showcase the heroic act of Naimen Incident and celebrate the brave image of the Song Jiang Battle Array. The music video is a tribute to the forgotten hero of Neiman, the Duck-farmer King, Zhu Yi-guai.
